 Nourishing Planet™ Organic Coconut Oil is made by mechanically pressing the chopped and warm air dried coconut meat straight after the coconuts are opened and dried, thus avoiding processing which destroys or alters the natural components.
It is NOT refined, bleached nor deodorized (RBD) nor hydrogenated. This pure virgin and organic coconut oil retains the healthy properties of coconuts including the medium chain fatty acids and averages 50% of the highly beneficial lauric acid.

All coconut oil is high in lauric acid, a medium chain fatty acid which turns to monolaurin in a human or animal body. Monolaurin has anti-microbial properties, and has been shown to kill viruses, bacteria, protozoa, fungi and more. This expeller pressed coconut oil is no exception, and contains around 50% lauric acid, like other organic coconut oils.
